So Comes Snow After Fire introduces universal primordial practices like wood cutting and fire lighting into the exhibition space, guiding us into a speculative scenario that critically examines our contemporary reality. By expanding the imagination to encompass time travel—from primordial memories to alternative presents and utopian or apocalyptic futures—the exhibition explores the possibility of an imminent return to the essentials of survival. The show invites us to reflect on how close or distant each of us is from preparing the next fire, whether it be material or symbolic, imbued with hope or despair.
