01 Butterflies Fly High
Larch wood, linen oil
90 x 65 x 3 cm

The wooden panel was created during an artist residency at Klosterbergfabrik in St. Georgen im Schwarzwald. Traditional carving tools and a router were used to achieve the depth of a low-relief image.

The artist drew inspiration from extensive walks through the folkloric landscapes of the Black Forest, where the myths and legends of historical glassblowing and carpentry crafts still linger.

Variety of elements converge to create a mythical landscape, where butterfly-shaped ginkgo biloba leaves emerge as protagonists, navigating the complexities of today's world.
